Meet Tom: a naturalist who has spent a quarter-century under the canopy of the Redwoods. His knowledge is truly second to none—not just from his years as Chairman of the Sierra Club Steering Committee or his work with the Golden Gate Conservancy, but from a life dedicated to the trees.
Tom has carried the spirit of the Redwoods with him through 35 countries, distributing seeds as he hiked. Today, he shares that passion through his writing for the Greenfuse newspaper and, most importantly, through his intimate walking tours. If you’re looking to skip the "tourist traps," Tom is your guide. He specializes in long, quiet treks on narrow dirt trails, taking you deep into the heart of the forest where the only sound is the wind in the branches.

About the Tour
TOURS
Muir Woods tour consists of an actual walk through the old growth forest mostly on single track dirt trails for three to five miles. You will be in the woods for two to three hours depending on the pace you choose.
Pick-up is from your hotel at 7a.m. and drop off is at Sausalito ferry around noon to take the boat back to San Francisco at your leisure.
Lunch, including pastry and chips and water will be provided.
Cost is $150 per person all inclusive. a minimum of two people is required for a tour, payable in cash or check upon completion of the tour, if you are satisfied…..
Avenue of the Giants consists of four smaller hikes along dirt trails. Pick-up is at 7a.m. from your hotel, return if you choose a one day trip is around 8 that evening. You can also do this in two days and book a hotel for a night and come back the following day. Cost per round trip is $150 dollars per person with a minimum of four people.
